Mom time...

In the spirit of being a "good mom"...

I went to Disney World by myself. :)

Of course... This was actually a work trip - I was there for an Actuarial Conference.

However, I did spend some time on my day there checking out Magic Kingdom!

Things like Cinderella's castle:

The Haunted Mansion:

 And of course, it would not be complete without at least a short visit with the Mouse himself!

I rode a few rides, including Aladdin's Magic Carpet.. (okay, I rode a lot of rides, actually.)

 I went on several roller coasters, including Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain (just before it was shut down...)

And ended my day at the Bear Country Jamboree..

Followed by the "Electrical" parade.  Ever since I was a child, and got Pete's Dragon as my very first video, I've been a huge fan.  My favorite part was when the Dragon actually got to disappear (with the lights turned off).  A successful day adventure!

I was hoping to stay for the fireworks and last parade, but had worn myself out!  The next few days at Disney were not quite so magical - but, they were intensely filled with lots of learning, networking and good info related to my job.

Hooray for me time!
