Kindergarten

I am learning about Kindergarten.

When the teacher yells "Macaroni and Cheese!" you are supposed respond with "Everybody freeze."

Hands in your lap, backs straight, chocolate shake, on my rear - Root Beer!

One of their drills - lockdown - involves turning the lights off, and hiding in the class room.  You can't talk.  You can't even cough!

The kids are going to make mistakes lots of times.  That doesn't mean you are in trouble.

There's a place called "Letter Land".  It has characters like Annie Apple, Munching Mike, Kicking King and Red Robot.

The kids get "Dojo points" and "on track tickets".  So far, they have 20 on track tickets which mean they have built the super hero's boots.  By the end of the year, they can get the cape, mask, and other parts and pieces to build an entire Super Hero!

If you are a peace maker, you are good.  If you are a peace breaker, you are not good.

The teacher says there are no whiners in her class!

You have to be quiet in the cafeteria and focus on eating.  When the teacher whistles, it's time to line up to go back in.  If you buy your lunch, the teacher keeps your "credit card" so you can pay - which basically just has your student id number.  You also can't share your food, because another kid might be allergic.  After lunch, you put your lunch box up and head right to the carpet for Letter Land.

You can't play on the monkey bars until you are in 1st grade.  Whistle means it is time to line up for lunch.
