As the year draws to a close, it is hard to pick out just a few pictures
that represent the entire year. However, I have done my best. This
year, I didn't narrow down the field quite as much as I did in 2012 - -
but here are my favorite pictures of the year, all the same, along with
some editorial comments!
We attended two weddings. One for my cousin, Charlene (and Jason) and one for my college friend Heather (and Aaron). Mark looks sharp in a tie! The other picture is the kids looking out the window at airplanes while traveling - thankfully, one of their favorite things to do!
We had snow on both sides of the year - - in February, we built a snow man! In December, we had flight delays due to Weather.
Mom (that's me) still buys too many hats for the kids. That's okay - - they seem to enjoy them (almost) as much as I do!
The kids also enjoy each other - which is awesome. Here's some brotherly/sisterly love:
The spring brought flowers and rain showers - and we enjoyed both!

In the late spring/summer, we spent a few minutes playing in sand at the ocean.
And my top pick for photo (and activity) of the year: Blueberry picking! Complete with blueberry pies, blueberry jelly, and more blueberries!
Mom and kid photos were taken somewhere along the way...
We also spent some time - as usual - in the pumpkin patch, and playing in fall leaves. The fall colors were beautiful!
We enjoyed some holiday time in both Texas and Kansas - including being able to introduce my kids to their 2nd cousin (not pictured)!
We did a bit of "partying" - kid style, anyhow. Birthday parties, and shown here- a lego party!
Sadly, I did lose my best (dog) friend this year (in September). I am still greiving the loss of Kobe.
It's not all about the kids... just mostly. My husband continues to be wonderful, and we celebrated our 5 year anniversary in December.
And this is my favorite picture of myself taken this year. Enjoying being outdoors!
